Dental Health
Herkimer County Public Health is committed to promoting lifelong oral health by educating children on the importance of good dental hygiene. Our Dental Health Program works with pre-K and elementary schools throughout the county to teach children healthy habits early and encourage proper oral care.
Our Services Include:
- School-Based Dental Education – Partnering with local schools to provide engaging lessons on brushing, flossing, and cavity prevention.
- Dental Health Kits – With grant funding, we distribute dental care kits to select grade levels to support at-home oral hygiene.
- Community Collaboration – Working with local organizations and healthcare providers to reinforce good dental habits and increase access to dental health resources.
By teaching children how to care for their teeth early, we help set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles!
