Penny Santy, figurative abstract painter, creates works that explore the relationships between people. She grew up in Fayetteville and Syracuse, NY, where the abundance of nature in the area has provided her plenty of experiential opportunities, food for thought, and inspiration. Santy earned her BFA degree from Syracuse University where she built her love of working in oils. With 37 years experience, her work is award winning with the most recent being the March 2024 Finalist in the Boldbrush art contest juried by Kathie Odom, and the 2022 Dorothy Bostwick Campbell Memorial Prize at the Cooperstown Art Association national juried show. She exhibits regularly across the northeast including at Dacia Gallery, New York City Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester, NY Arnot Art Museum, Elmira, NY Edgewood Gallery and a regular exhibitor at Art Haus SYR. Her work has been published in 1340 Art magazine, April 2018, and Stone Canoe Number 18. ↑ less
